Services - Hardware Repair/Replace

The decision to repair, replace, or upgrade any damaged or broken piece(s) is determined based on what type of system is used (desktop, laptop, or all-in-one), if the part can be repaired and the cost of doing so, and if a part replacement or upgrade is viable based on the condition and your budget. For example, a Dell internal DVD drive for a Dell XPS all-in-one system may cost $80, but purchasing a newer, external USB-based DVD drive from another company may only cost $30 or less. If you have a spare USB port to sacrifice for the drive and have a small amount of space on the desk where you do your computer work, buying the external DVD drive is the sensible, logical option.

Desktop computers can have nearly any component replaced with a component from a third-party. Laptop computers can only have their hard drive and memory upgraded from a third-party company; but the remaining components can only be made from the manufacturer (and still purchased from third-party businesses such as eBay and Amazon).

Digi-Detox will consult with you over any failed computer parts; desktop, laptop, or all-in-one, and present you with options better-suited for your current needs, and keep money in your wallet.
